We'll be just fine...
On our first morning home, I woke up to Bracken coming into my room with a huge grin on his face. "I made you breakfast in bed, Mom!" I got a carefully buttered piece of toast, peach yogurt, water, a napkin with my name on it and a cute note with a picture: "I Love You Mom! Supris Brekfast. Love Bracken." What a cute guy and great helper. I think we'll be just fine being home with our new baby!

Kinsey's Birth-Day!
We are so excited to welcome Kinsey Kay Johnson to our family!
She was born August 28th in Richfield, UT in my mom's birthing suite.
She weighed 6 pounds 14 ounces and was 20 1/4 inches long.
I called Brian about 5:30am and told him I thought we'd have our baby that day. So he skipped out on class and drove from SLC to Richfield in plenty of time to be there for me through the labor. I'm so grateful for his support and help! Everything went smoothly with the labor...I just always forget how much hard work it is! It took me longer to progress this time. Kinsey's head just wasn't tight against my cervix. My Mom had me do some "cat-cow" exercises which must have helped her get into a better position, because shortly after doing those exercises my water broke, and she was born soon after that. We are so happy to have her here!
It is so special to have my Mom as our midwife and my sister Breonna as her assistant. Those two are amazing. Such a calm, competent team. I'm so grateful for them!
It was so fun to watch Bracken and Chandra come in to meet their sister. They were both so interested and excited. So full of wonder. They will be awesome siblings.
We love you Kinsey Kay!

Ellingford Family Pictures
My entire family was in Richfield to see Ryan before he left on his mission to Seoul, South Korea. We will miss him, but are so proud of him and know he will make a great missionary! Since it will be a long time before we're all together again, Mom wanted to get family pictures taken. (What great luck that I happened to be 38 weeks pregnant at the time, every girls dream to have family pictures taken then, right? :) Anyway, I love how they turned out. I am really blessed with an awesome family. I sure loved getting to spend the weekend with all of them!

Lyric Nazi
Chandra is very particular. Very. Particular. At bedtime her blankets have to be placed on her in a certain order, a certain direction ("NO!! That one's upside down!") with her water cup in a certain spot. At breakfast she requests "Grandma Lisa eggs" (poached), mashed up, on a pink plate, with a small green spoon. If anybody is feeling generous that morning she'd also like us to feed them to her, but that really only happens when her Grandma Lisa is here to do it for her.
When Chandra learns a song, she learns it the one and only right way (in her mind.) Brian has always loved changing the lyrics to songs to something silly. Bracken thinks it's hilarious and plays along, giggling. But if Brian changes the words to one of "Chandra's" songs. She gets all bent out of shape and shouts, "No, Dad! That's not right!" Brian got fed up with her correcting him constantly one day and said, "Sheesh Chandra, you're a lyric nazi." At which she burst into tears and said, "I'm not a little nazi!"

Let's go to Hooters!
Here's a conversation between Bracken and Brian from the other day:
Bracken- "Dad, sometime we should go to the pet store again."
Brian- "Okay."
Bracken- "And then we should go to the owl store."
Brian- "The owl store?"
Bracken- "Yeah, the one by our house. Hooters."
Brian- (laughing) that's not an owl store buddy. It's just a restaurant."
Bracken- "Oh..."
We won't tell him about the restaurants reputation for a while. :)
